How
do I get tickets for interPLAY shows?
All ticket purchases happen at the interPLAY Box Office located near the entrance to Regional Council Chamgers. The interPLAY Box Office will be open the following hours:
Friday, August 7, 10 am - midnight
Saturday, August 8, 10 am - midnight
Sunday, August 9, 10 am – 7 pm

What
happens if I arrive late for a performance?
Latecomers will not be admitted to the indoor
venue under any circumstances. Admitting latecomers interrupts both
the performer and the patrons who arrived at the venue early and
are already enjoying the show. There are so many performances scheduled
in a day that it is crucial to start them at the scheduled time.

What
is the interPLAY refund policy?
Refunds will only be given if there are cancellations
or changes in the schedule.

When
I purchase a ticket to an indoor show at interPLAY where does the
money go?
In most cases, 100% of ticket sales go directly
to the artist. However, most artists pay a small venue fee in advance
of the Festival to help cover the costs of setting up the stage
and hiring a professional technician to operate the sound and lighting
equipment.

What
is busking?
Busking is a term that is used to describe
a performer who is paid by those people who watch his or her performance.
For example, a classical guitarist who has studied for years and
wants to make a few dollars over the weekend can grab his instrument,
sit in an area that has a lot of people walking through, and play
to his heart's content. If he puts out a "hat", or a "jar",
for tips, he is considered a busker. We have a wide range of buskers
at interPLAY: magicians, musicians, balloon artists, face painters,
and much more.

What
is the proper amount to pay a busker?
This question is often asked, but the fact
is there is no clear-cut answer. Some people say that a live performance
is worth more than the admission to a movie. Others say that since
a street "show" is shorter than a movie, it is therefore
worth less. There are buskers who wear buttons, or who have signs,
that say a "standard contribution" is whatever amount
they think that they should get. Ultimately, the amount you pay
should be proportional to your level of enjoyment.
When
do I pay a street performer?
You can pay at any time. If the show is half
over and you have to leave you can always run up and hand the artist
your cash. Or, if they are using a "hat" or "jar"
you can simply put the money inside.

How
much should I pay the face painters, balloon artists and creators
of caricatures?
Unlike other buskers, these stationary performers
will have their own amount that they will charge for their services.
